Musical Interlude

Bienfang marker paper is LOUSY. It only took three or four layers of ink in some places before it wouldn't absorb any more - hence why the shadows on the skin are so blotchy. This was the first time I tried using this marker pad, and I did do a test sketch first, but apparently I didn't put down enough ink on the test...

Anyway. Here are Varony and Nashua having a jam session with their instruments of choice. Nashua does play the flute in the story we've written so far, for both mundane and magical purposes... Varony unfortunately (or fortunately, depending whom you ask) didn't bring his violin with him on this excursion. (He would like to add, "To be fair, my playing would be a lot better if I were allowed to spend more time practicing...")
